I’m flying to the east coast to visit with my boyfriend’s family, the dog is going to a boarding kennel that I’ve heard great things about yet I’m still nervous that he’ll be scared and think I’m abandoning him. 
This is the first time we’ve been apart for so long. Is there anything I can do to reassure him that I’ll be back or make it more comfortable for him?

I feel so bad. My husband and I are going camping this weeked and we had to put our dog in a boarding kennel for the first time. Normally one of our grown kids will keep him but everyone is going out of town. We have checked the kennel out and someone my husband works with uses this same kennel and they say they are very good and loving people. I still feel bad.
I would love to take my dog camping but he is a Pug and when it gets hot he can not take the heat.

Yes, we have. Usually, like you, as a last resort. It’s always turned out ok and the dogs seem well cared for.
